Rocky, The only bones that break and kill a dog are cooked bones
Some bones are harder than others and a very persistent dog may break a tooth- but not die from shards of bone.

Any weight bearing bones should only be used as recreational bones. Meaning cow legs, deer legs, ect.

If the dog is having trouble fully consuming a bone in 10 minutes, take it away. You just have to know your dogs.

A little caution guys...

Blockage is blockage whether it's cooked or uncooked bones...They can still get stuck.

What is important is whether the dog is actually chewing up the bones enough or swallowing whole...

As do I- I also know a lady who had an adult bullmastiff choke on a piece of cooked potroast.

There is danger in anything you do. Are you not going to go to the gym because you may injure yourself? Or are you going to go anyway because you know it's good for you?
