Out of the 29 Mastini I have had here's my breakdown on causes of death : 2 DCM , 1 Distemper & 1 Pravo BOTH pups under 14 weeks, 1 Bloat , 1 Stomach Cancer 8/ 12 yrs old , 1 massive Staff Infection caused by DEMO & 1 was poisoned....The other 21 lived to be 8-12 1/2 yrs old...Not too bad .....

My top five are:
1. Immune system disorders (where thing slike demo come from)
2. Eye issues, such as entropin and excessive dry eye. I do not consider cherry eye a problem as it is so common and easliy repairable.
3. DCM as it sometimes does not rear its ugly head until well into maturity
4. Bloat intestinal problems, I have only ever had 1 dog bloat that I was able to save on my own.
5. dysplasia and genteic disorders. Come to think of it, I would like to move my 5th choice to number one as many of the problems and issues you see are genetic based. Immune system, eyes, heart, stomache.....hell everything!!
