Two of mine are feed a raw diet which consists of just about everthing ranging from pig tails, chicken legs, beef heart, liver, mackeral, green tripe. I haven't tried game meat yet since I haven't been able to locate a source.

Having seen the results of feeding raw, I won't go back to feeding kibble.

I do kibble and raw
Eagle pack natural is the main base I use for food.
Then I mix a raw food diet into the kibble at dinner time only.

I feed Solid Gold Wolf cub and wolf king , I had recently switched to a more cost effective brand but wasent pleased . kibble in the morning with plain yourgurt kibble at supper , and in the afternoon i feed pasta , and raw chicken with bones , or stew meat , which i braise slightly I'll' throw in this or that that i have in the house such as veggies cheese ,yorgurt fruit.(no grapes), i never feed raw and kibble together , my neo loves apples and peas , my hounds love strawberries , blue berries , too. but the base is kibble pasta & raw meat , they all get raw beef marrow bones as well. and they love hickory sticks ...sometime i sprinkle hickory sticks on top of a meeal as "garnish" .
as well ester c , gluclosimine , and Peterna .

Sincerely
Melinda Carver

Dude, the cats are the worst for digestive problems. Try small pink or white bunnies! Oh yeah and gerbils for treats

I free feed my Neo kibble through out the day but in the morning and night he receives dry kibble mixed with raw. He does a great job free feeding. Free fed him since the first day I got him.

Sounds like I need to be including a raw eliment to Sirus' diet...

Anyone in the Toronto area? Do you have a good source?

Please keep the info coming! Thanks

Anyone on Eagle pack? I got this e-mail this week...Not sure if it was just dumb luck that the bag was past due...But thought I'd share....

Hi everyone...

I have some very bad news. Keaira, who will turned 2 and half in April is now gravelly ill. At the end of Feb. Keaira ran out of food so I went and got her a new bag, not the 33kg.bag that I usually get her, but the 16kg. bag, because that was all they had left. So I said okay I'll take this and order me in somemore . The food was Eagle Brand Holistic Lamb and rice. Yes if you've all ready jumped to that terrible conclusion, your right. The food was bad. Really bad!!!!! Now I have a baby that is in kidney failure. She has been in ICU at my Vet's since Thr. At first it was if she makes it throught the night. Which she did,, that god. But now we have to wait till Monday to see if her levels go down or even, god willing, back to normal. I have had two specialest and my Vet... who is great. trying everything they can think of to save her. But they don't give me much hope. All I ask of you is to pray for her... she is one of the special ones. I know that I'm bias, but she really is a special girl. And PLEASE.... If you have any EAGLE BRAND HOLISTIC LAMB AND RICE. Get rid of it NOW!!!!!!!

Please don't forget it was the 16kg. bag.... but I would get rid of it all.... wait don't get rid of it in case your Leo gets sick, just don't feed it to them.

I went to see her today, and the sad thing is, she doesn't even look sick. And it just about killed me to leave her there.. but I know she is getting the best of care.

Most importain the signs to look out for are:

-the food has a stronge oder... smells like plastic or a cemical.

-your Leo may smell the food a time or two and walk away from it... take this to heart, they don't want it. There is a reason. Keaira didn't want to eat it at first, but that is all she had to eat so after a day she started to eat it. I should have listened to her!

-when your Leo eats it... their breath will smell fishy/or very bad breath

-then comes the voitiming/ but they will still want to eat after they get sick

-and finally comes the diarrhea.

-these signs all come on slowly

There may be more signs to look for, but these are the ones that Keaira first showed,

Please, if you even think you Leo has gotten any of this food, take them to the Vet right away. I will let you know how she is after Mondays meeting with the Vets. Thank you for your prayers.

Please give all your babys a big hug from me.

Annette and Keaira
