I was blessed with a gift at the end of February this year. I took in a 2 yr old Neo Mastiff from a gentleman that was moving to Chicago with his family and their apartment was no place for the 125lb Zeus they loved so much. Me being the dog lover, I decided to take Zeus in rather than letting him go to someone that would not take care of him. My husband has forever loved Neo Mastiff's but were just out of our price range at this moment. I have had him in my home for several weeks now and not one moment goes by where I would take it back. Zeus is my baby...he is perfect. He is beautiful and everywhere he goes people just fall in love with him. He is fantastic with my nephews and with us for not being around us his whole life. He is truly a blessing. I have research about thier breed since I have never had a dog of this kind or size. They are truly amazing & loving dogs. I leave my job just going crazy trying to get home just to see him waiting for me at the window.
This site is great and very helpful. I plan on checking in on a regular basis to continue to expand my knowledge about these wonderful creatures.

Hello, all Mastino fans and breeders.
I am Eva from Holland and I want to share my story with you. I love Mastino’s very much, they are my passion and my hobby. I could buy Netherlands mastino but I wanted the best so I went to Italy. Few years ago I went to Italy for the best known and most experienced Mastino breeders. First I noticed that the dogs were bad care, but it were nice pups. So I bought for 7000 euro 3 females Furba.Stella and Nerina. Within one years I had to bring Furba to sleep because she had so much HD that she could not stand on her feet. Not later Stella dies also at a young age. I had sent an email to the breeder that the 2 girls are healthy, but he wanted to know nothing about - no money back and no other dog. Now I have for 7000 euro only Nerina, she was so frightened because she was beaten. I had promised myself that I would never buy Mastino from Italy again. 5 years later I wanted a new Mastino puppy. I've searched on internet and I came to the kennel of Del Gheno. There were beautiful pups so I decided to go to Italy in January. I was surprised to see how clean the kennel was and how well the pups were care. I had my choice, it was a male Bandito. I was happy that the family Del Gheno were very nice. They had already arranged a hotel for me and paid it was not necessary because it was not their duty. At 6 pm I was comfortable with dinner their. I have a very good impression of the nice family of Del Gheno. And according to the vet Bandito is a healthy puppy. Thank you family of Del Gheno.
