I cant figure it out and never have been able to, the year one of my dogs was on it made no sense because I know of other dogs who won more bob then she did which was 2 but they were not on there but she was. Then to confuse it even more isnt there actually 2 lists ? Breed standings and then overall standings ??? ugh so confusing

There are 2 ranking systems, ALL BREED and BREED standings.

The ALL- BREED rankings are for Neapolitan Mastiffs that have placed in the Working Group (1st-4th). There are 4 Neapolitans on that list. Amedeo, CH Il Drago Galiano, CH Titan , & Ironwood's Marcelo Roman Luciano; in that order.

The Breed rankings are for Best of Breed winners only. The dog has to win Best of Breed with points to be on this list.

For example, (assuming 1st time showing) Nikki's bitch Tavi won WINNERS BITCH with a total of 8 pts, so she will not be on the list. Had Tavi won Best of Breed in those occasions with 8 pts, then she would on the list ranked # 7.

Eukanuba keeps scores from October until the next October (1 full year)

AKC keeps scores from Jan,1 - Dec.31, so the 2 ranking can differ slighty.

I haven't shown Jake since last year. He made the list in 2005 and 2006. He finished his championship and i retired him from showing. He hated it!! Stubborn jackass would lay down in the ring, would not gait, etc.

Thanks for explaining the system. It makes more sense now.

ahhhhhhhhh so you have to go BOB, now here is another question, will you still get on the list by going bob but your the only one showing or do you have to have a point/points ( I am thinking you do but at this point who knows lol ) thanks for the info it was driving me crazy

Nydia I think it is a tawny thing, my girl lika ( tawny ) was so bull headed no one wanted to show her, she would lay down, nap if she had time, refuse to move and get into the most horrid pace she could, she also got a 2nd place once in a 1 dog class LMAO

One can sometimes see the holes on the list.

For example, Bruno has 77 pts and recieved probably 90 percent of those points during Nationals weekend, so he deserves to be # 1.

But look at some others dogs on the list, it makes you say "How did they get so many pts"? or better yet "Who did they beat"? I am talking about 4-5 dogs on that list. Unfortunatly and fortunatly, the " Neo world" is a very tiny one, so most know who earned it and who doesn't deserve it. lol
