Unless it is upsetting her stomach, go ahead and give it to her. We don't recommend giving calcium supplements, but yogurt, ect are different- i.e. natural sources. _________________________ Nikki Agrippina Mastino
I give yogurt 1-2 times per week. You can also give him an egg with the eggshell broken up for calcium. I do this a couple times a week. What type of food do you feed? Jan
I used to give egg shells but the pieces come out in their stoll which means they are not being digested.. Yogurt and cottage cheese or sour cream are good for them . Big tub at Malwart is only a buck 57 so they all get a big glop on their meals once a day. Ciao
we always add goats milk to our food for pups, breeding females, and of course when they are pregnant or just had pups. As long as the stool stays solid. I would not worry about it. I have given yogurt and sour cream but it is not a regular in their diet.

Gary -- a good way to get the eggshells in is to food processor an egg or two and mix it in. . . sometimes the pieces are just too big to be broken down in the hour or so it's going through the dogs system.
I also like calcium enriched rice milk for my girl (who is a little sensitive to dairy when fed it regularly). She digs how it moistens the food but THE MESS! Only do this if you feed in an area FAR away from carpets!! LOL
