dont forget the vitamin E......... we bred sharpei(notorious for bad hides) in the 70' and 80'...never had a lick of skin problems......and now that regimen carried over to the mastiffs, and ditto....shinny, lustrous, coats
I switched over to a liquid glucosamine product for my old girl, and for Grim too. It also has some vit c and MSM in it. I had to buy it in bulk to keep costs down, but I'm happy with it so far.
I sort of agree with the if it ain't broke theory. I'm not sure if it's really good as a preventive measure, if it really has a positive effect on a healthy joint, or if it has any effect on Pano. I remember a thread a while back where someone (maybe Anthony) said he took his dogs off all the supplements, and their appetites improved and their health is great. I took Grim off it for a little while because I got tired of trying to con him into eating, but our vet says he should go back on it.
BTW- I have a almost full 2lb jar of Aniflex GL I'd love to pass on to someone. Grim decided he hates the stuff right after the second jar arrived. Figures. PM me. Beth
