How is Marcus?

If your dog does have athritis it should not be a death sentence...My eldest shepherd is now an amazing 9 years, and she is one of the happiest dogs I know. She was diagosed with elbow dysplasia at 6 months...and had surgery, unfortunately arthritis had already set in...As it turned out she had degenerative osteoarthritis, and her knees started to show signs. I put her on a strong regimen of UBAVet and other herbs for pain and to encourage bone growth, and we exercised the hell out of her to promote the growing of bone around her elbows and knees. Because of this her elbows and knees are one huge mass...The joint has all fused together. She can't bend her legs as a normal dog, but she has no problems getting up or down, and is always happy to go out. She does not suffer from any arthritic pain since there is no ruff bone in the joint to rub...It's one mass.

Massage is also a fabulous route to go...It will help enormously with any pain, and also helps to promote and encourage muscle growth. I would never crate rest any dog...They need regular exercise to help keep the muscle up so that there is support for the joints. I would not run them like hell, but would rather take them out for regular walks throughout the day.

We use UBAVet in my home... Glucose/chondrotin, etc. supplement...Herbal based and can be mixed with other meds without causing side efffects.
