 | Claudia...I have seen many surgeries done (the joys of working at the vet) You should not see a "wide-eyed" expression, but you may see a little more eye, but that is the point of the surgery. To open up the eye area, so that there is no longer the irritation. I have very rarely seen it done wrong (then you are stuck with a "wide-eyed" sort of look)...But it can happen...So I would go to someone experienced.
